A brawl involving 40 males – some armed with knives and swords – broke out in west London in the early hours.
Police arrested two men after rushing to the fight involving “40 males fighting with swords and bottles”.
Officers attended the dramatic incident in Southall, London just after midnight.
Two men, aged in their 20s, were detained on suspicion of violent disorder and affray after being chased, Ealing Police said on Twitter.
The force said: “Team 2 responded to a large fight this morning in @Southall involving up to 40 males fighting with swords and bottles.
“2 males were chased into St Johns Road and identified as having carried swords during the fight. They were arrested for Violent Disorder and Affray.”
A further statement added: “Police were called at around 0020hrs to a large group of males fighting with knives and at least one sword in the area of King Street, Southall.
“Officers attended and arrested two males, both aged in their 20s, on suspicion of violent disorder and affray. Both remain in police custody.
“There are no reported injuries.
